A hex-based tactical skirmish for two players where competing warbands fight over scenarios that each add unique objectives and rules. Players take turns activating champions and followers, positioning units, resolving combat and performing claim actions to influence a shared battle ladder. Causing knockouts, holding objectives with banners, and performing plot-phase claims move the turn marker toward a player’s side; whoever controls the marker at turn end scores points. The game uses scenario-driven scoring and a variety of unit sizes, with emphasis on tempo and trade-offs—sometimes sacrificing an immediate advantage to secure later scoring. First to reach the victory-point total wins.
