A group of people uses Viscaria, a networked psychedelic petal designed to connect minds and explore subconscious memories. The experience accidentally creates fictional people with coherent personalities, knowledge, skills, and independent motives. Most are harmless projections, but some become aware of their nature and seek to manipulate users into tripping again, recruiting suitable hosts, and expanding their influence. Players explore the consequences of these persistent dream entities, including the threat posed by Dark Ron, a projection that has taken control of a host and begun pursuing revenge.
