A roleplaying setting guide to the wilderness of Mirkwood and the surrounding Rhovanion region of Middle-earth. It details the forest, the Anduin, the Iron Hills, the River Running, Long Lake, the Rhovanion plains, and the shadowed fortress of Dol Guldur, along with the region’s Wood-elves, Woodmen, Dwarves, Beornings, Easterlings, and dangerous creatures. The book includes two large color maps of the region, maps of Dol Guldur, Woodmen-town, and Buhr Ailgra, and black-and-white layouts of locations including Dale, Esgaroth, the Halls of the Elven-king, and Erebor. It also provides descriptions of local races, cultures, notable figures, and adventure sites.
