Each campaign presents period-specific forces and situation-driven goals, from Iberian and Italic engagements through Persian and Greek conflicts to the rise and operations of Macedonian and Roman gladiatorial forces. Play emphasizes planning across turns, coordinating army maneuvers, and fighting individual battles that affect the broader campaign.
