Rise of the Necromancers

Players take the role of emerging Necromancers who study dark magic, craft artifacts and raise undead minions to expand their influence across the realm. Miniature Necromancers move across a modular board to gather resources, enter dungeons, battle cities and clash with rival spellcasters while recruiting apprentices and assembling armies that can garrison conquered locations. Play combines territorial control with tableau-collection: players collect spells, artifacts and minions tied to four academies to gain powers and compete for Headmaster status. Variable setup and character advancement produce evolving capabilities and different outcomes each game.
