Rolemaster: The Basics

A fantasy roleplaying system focused on detailed character creation, flexible skills, and structured action resolution. Players create characters from five races, nine professions, and twenty training packages, with options for backgrounds, motivations, personalities, and randomly determined attributes. The rules include spell lists for the available professions, weapon and animal attack tables, critical results, and guidelines for movement, maneuvers, and combat. Initiative and action speed determine whether characters act quickly with a penalty, normally, or deliberately with a bonus.
