A sourcebook for the Shadowlands, the poisoned region beyond the Kaiu Wall, presents its history, geography, corrupting Taint, and monstrous inhabitants. First-person writings and illustrations by the shugenja Kuni Mokuna detail goblins, ogres, trolls, mujina, oni, zombies, and other denizens, along with the culture and character creation rules of the Nezumi and other in-between races. The book also provides guidance for using the Shadowlands to maintain a horror-focused atmosphere in a campaign, including information on corruption, prevention, healing, and the tactics and physiology of more than twenty oni.
