This historical wargame simulates Marshal Davout’s defense against Prussian forces north of the larger battle of Jena in 1806. Players command regiments on a 250-meter-per-hex map, with each turn representing 30 minutes and counters representing roughly 600 troops. An early version of the Vive l’Empereur! tactical system uses oblong counters to show formations changing between line and column. Roster sheets record losses, while the scenario rules cover the specific battle. The game has medium complexity.
