An asymmetric two-player abstract wargame recreating the May 2, 1808 uprising in Madrid. One player commands French occupation forces, the other controls Spanish civilians and military units across a 21-area map of the city. Play runs ten turns with each turn split into Preparation, Orders, Movement and Resolution phases. Players issue and resolve orders, move wooden cubes representing forces, and draw from separate French and Spanish event decks that influence play. Victory conditions are asymmetric: the French win by eliminating Spanish forces, holding access areas and avoiding excessive losses by turn ten; otherwise the Spanish prevail.
