In the seemingly perfect suburb of Happyville, a Rift turns nightmares into reality while a heavy Mist leaves residents forgetful, complacent, and heavily medicated. Players investigate the town as government agents, following protocols and questioning suspects while uncovering the conspiracy beneath its cheerful surface. The case contrasts polished Cold War-era suburbia with an increasingly disturbing supernatural threat.
