Břink!: Velká podzemní loupež

Sneak into a dragon-guarded mountain lair to steal artifacts and escape before the beast wakes. Players build and refine personal decks, drawing and playing five cards each turn to generate skill (to buy new cards), swords (to fight monsters), and boots (to move through the dungeon). Acquired cards enter the discard pile and are shuffled into the deck as play proceeds, letting each player's deck develop unique synergies. Movement, combat and noise matter: actions can provoke the dragon by adding CLANK! tokens, and stealing higher-value artifacts increases the dragon’s aggression. Win by retrieving an artifact, escaping alive, and scoring more points than the other thieves.

#14 A very funny deckbuilding game. I love the drawing of the 'klongs' out of the bag. Really pleasant, rewarding deck builder with a nicely implemented theme and a unique push your luck element. ...that doesn't get to the table, and now next to Quest for El Dorado, I'm afraid this won't change. It's a shame. Oh boy, did it change... I've been playing this a lot lately, and it's definitely my favorite game right now, I just love it. The new maps keep the game fresh for now. I don't plan on buying the big expansions, since I'd like to move onto Catacombs eventually. I love teaching this game to new people, the success rate is almost 100%. Everyone seems to really enjoy it. I just love it, I don’t even feel the need to move onto Catacombs, although I’m sure I eventually will. As much it hurts, I sold my original copy. There's just no place for both OG and Catacombs in my collection. The only advantage of OG Clank! is that it's more accessible to new players, but Catacombs is not that difficult either. I've had great times with it last year... fare thee well, my friend. + Gold & Silk, Temple of the Ape Lords

Otázky k pravidlům

Odpovědi z pravidel od asistenta pravidel Ludoya.

Do I just need to steal one Artifact to win?

You must retrieve an Artifact and escape to score, but that alone doesn't automatically win — final victory is whoever has the most points from their Artifact, other tokens, Gold, and card points (see pp. 5, 9). You can normally carry only one Artifact and once you pick one up you're stuck with it (p. 5).

When I buy or acquire a card, does it go into my hand or deck right away?

No — when you acquire a card it is placed face up in your discard pile and will only enter your deck when you reshuffle and draw it on a later turn (pp. 4, 6).

How does Clank! (the noise cubes) work — when do I add cubes and what happens to them?

Some cards add Clank! to your color in the Clank! Area immediately when played, and some effects remove Clank! instead; any Clank! you have in the Clank! Area are moved to the Dragon Bag when an attack is executed (p. 7). During a dragon attack you draw cubes from the bag equal to the Rage Track number; colored cubes deal damage to the matching players while black cubes do nothing (p. 8).

What exactly triggers a dragon attack and when does it happen?

After every turn you refill empty Dungeon Row spaces, and if any revealed cards have a Dragon Attack symbol the dragon attacks once for that refill (p. 8). The dragon's rage (how many cubes are drawn) increases when an Artifact or certain Minor Secrets are taken, so later attacks draw more cubes (p. 8).

What happens if my Health Meter fills up (I get knocked out) in the dungeon?

If your Health Meter is completely filled you are knocked out: if you already retrieved an Artifact and escaped the Depths you are rescued and count your points, but if you haven't gotten an Artifact or are still in the Depths you can't be rescued and are out of the competition (p. 8).

If I leave the dungeon, do I keep taking turns and can the dragon still hurt me?

Players who leave the dungeon no longer take normal turns, do not add more Clank!, and are treated as immune to colored cube damage (their cubes count as black cubes) if drawn from the bag (p. 9). The first player to leave moves onto the Countdown Track and triggers additional Dragon Attacks on subsequent countdown spaces, and eventually the dragon knocks out any remaining players in the dungeon (p. 9).
