Dick: A Card Game Based on the Novel by Herman Melville

A party game built around direct quotations from Herman Melville’s 1851 novel, Moby-Dick. In each round, one player reads a mock-serious question or fill-in-the-blank prompt, while the others submit quotation cards as answers. The judge reads the submissions aloud and selects the one that best fits their interpretation of the prompt. The winner keeps the prompt card, players replenish their hands, and the judging role rotates. After a set number of rounds, the player with the most prompt cards wins. Success depends on matching the judge’s sense of humor and finding unexpected meanings in Melville’s often strange and irreverent prose.
