Dream Apart

A roleplaying game set in a mostly Jewish shtetl in Eastern Europe during the early industrial age. Players portray members of the community as they feud and reconcile, bargain and gossip, celebrate and mourn, and contend with hostile outsiders and the unseen world of angels, demons, ghosts, and dybbuks. Stories may involve betrothals, pogroms, accusations of murder, mystical ascensions, or departures into lives as actors, bandits, or soldiers. The game focuses on belonging, community, hardship, and finding moments of joy amid danger and uncertainty.
