Fossilis

Players take the role of paleontologists excavating a newly discovered dinosaur graveyard using shovels, brushes, and chisels. Each turn grants two actions to dig terrain tiles, reveal trace fossils, gather plaster and tools, or extract exposed bones; recovered bones can be combined into sets for museum displays that score points. The game uses a 3D dig site with recessed pockets and chunky terrain tiles, letting players reveal or re-cover finds to advance their own digs or hinder rivals. Strategy, timing, and some luck determine when to dig carefully for complete specimens or shift earth to slow opponents.
