Kamisado

Players race to advance octagonal towers to the far side of the board by moving them straight or diagonally forward. On each turn the color of the square where the opponent just landed determines which tower a player must move, so piece selection is controlled by the opponent’s prior action. Towers block and obstruct routes, and blocked players lose their turn while the opponent moves again from the blocked square’s color. Towers that reach the opposite side are promoted and gain the ability to push opposing pieces backward, creating extra turns and tactical opportunities. The game contains no randomness; play is deterministic and focuses on spatial planning, forced moves and sequence calculation.
