King of New York

Giant monsters battle over New York, aiming to be the first to reach 20 victory points or the last creature standing. On each turn a player rolls six dice up to three times and resolves results: claws to damage other monsters, hearts to heal, and energy to buy power cards. Fame tokens award victory points for holding the spotlight, but military response grows as players cause more destruction. A modular city board divides the metropolis into districts; monsters occupy districts, can displace opponents when attacking, and earn bonuses by destroying buildings. Power cards grant unique, asymmetric abilities and use energy as a resource.

    Nice twist for an already very solid game!

    Want to play it more, but seems like I'm alone... Might replace it with Tokyo, or simply just sell it. Realistically, it won't see the table anytime soon. I kinda wanna hold onto it for some of its components (e.g. I don't really like the lightning bolts in KoT: Dark Edition), but it's a pretty stupid reason to keep it...
