Knives Out

The royal line is in chaos after the monarch's death; players vie to install a surviving heir, heiress, or pet through backstabbing and trickery. Players place candidate cards between every pair and in the center, then simultaneously choose a card to set turn order. In that turn sequence, players activate the leftmost available candidate's ability by replacing it with their played card, building a new chain of effects each round. Candidates accumulate daggers and resistance; those with more daggers than resistance are eliminated. The lowest-value surviving candidate becomes the successor.
