Lady Mijiko's Holiday

The characters serve a daimyo whose rival factions are competing for influence over a strategically important neutral province. A tournament celebrating the birth of the province’s first grandchild provides cover for political maneuvering and contests of martial skill. Assigned to escort their lord’s younger sister to an allied castle, the characters soon learn that the journey conceals a larger mission. On the return trip, they must secretly transport a sumo grand champion to the tournament, contending with treachery, enemy action, and the difficulties of protecting a powerful but demanding passenger.
