Machi Koro

Players take the role of newly elected mayors tasked with expanding a small town into a thriving city by constructing buildings and public landmarks. On each turn a player rolls one or two dice, activates buildings whose printed numbers match the roll to collect income or trigger effects (some of which involve other players), and spends money to buy new establishments or complete landmarks. Play emphasizes engine-building through card combos, timing dice rolls, and occasional direct income transfer between players. The game plays in 2–4 players and ends when a player finishes all of their landmarks.
