Mercenaries of Charted Space

This setting guide explores the mercenary marketplace across the Third Imperium and beyond, from the Zhodani Consulate and Aslan Hierate to the Two Thousand Worlds and rimward fringes. It details regional characteristics, potential clients, recruitment and equipment sources, rival forces, and notable mercenary organizations. Players find guidance for negotiating with alien nobles, registering with Imperial authorities, assessing contracts and bonds, and handling clients such as Hivers and K’kree. The guide also presents ongoing conflicts and campaign situations, including wars between Aslan clans and a potential K’kree invasion.
