Pili Pili: Extra spicy

Players bet on whether they can meet the round’s objective, then play a trick-taking game shaped by changing rules, special cards, and missions. Meeting a bet scores points, while mistakes add “pili” penalty tokens; collecting too many ends the game. The extra-spicy version adds unpredictable effects that make each round more chaotic.

Otázky k pravidlům

Odpovědi z pravidel od asistenta pravidel Ludoya.

Do our bids have to add up to the number of cards dealt?

No. Bids are completely free; their total does not need to match the number of cards dealt (p. 2).

What decides who wins a trick—do card colors matter?

The highest-value card wins, and colors do not matter. When you play a dual-value card, choose immediately which of its two values counts for that trick (p. 2).

What happens if everyone plays a Special Card?

Special Cards have no value and cannot win a trick. If every card in a trick is a Special Card, discard the trick and nobody wins it (p. 2).

How many Pilis do I take if I miss my bid?

Take 1 Pili for each trick you were off by—the difference between your bid and the number of tricks you won. If you match your bid exactly, you take none (p. 2).

Does the Reverse card make the lowest card win?

Yes: for that trick, the lowest Number Card beats the highest. If two Reverse Cards are played in the same trick, their effects cancel (p. 3).

When does the game end, and who wins?

The game ends as soon as any player reaches 8 Pilis. The player or players with the fewest Pilis win (p. 2).
