Purple Heart Draw

A historical campaign game depicting small-unit combat in the hedgerows around Hill 192 near St-Georges-d’Elle, France, during the Battle of Normandy. The game includes a mounted historical map, four scenarios covering different parts of the battlefield, and a five-scenario date-driven campaign game. Players command American and German infantry, engineers, tanks, artillery, mortars, and assault units as they attack and defend hedgerows, gullies, roads, houses, and fortified positions. The campaign rules link the scenarios and track the changing course of the battle, including German counterattacks and American efforts to cross Purple Heart Draw.
