Players dive into a sea of sunken pirate ships and competing dragon clans, seeking buried loot while avoiding the attention of elder dragons. The expansion adds a Reward Board that tracks progress on Tail advancement tied to the pirate boats players sink, granting new scoring paths and unlocking power cards that modify actions and turns. Each player also gains an Elder Dragon figure to place into the shared sea, increasing presence and introducing more powerful interactions on the board. Gameplay integrates with the base game mechanics, offering additional strategic choices around which treasures to pursue and when to trigger elder dragon effects.
