Serpents of Fickle Fortune
A Pathfinder-compatible adventure for four 9th-level characters. What begins as a straightforward job to recover a magical knucklebone and eliminate a gang of thespian criminals escalates when a massive protean raid tears through the city of Arefast. Swarms of cats, reality-warping weather, and bickering outsiders spread chaos as the party tracks down the invasion’s leader before the city is transformed beyond recovery. The adventure includes a description of bureaucratic Arefast, fragments of fickle fortune that grant unpredictable boons, a new scroll-hoarding protean monster, and encounters and magic items inspired by the chaos of the internet.
