Social Characters

This rules supplement expands social-focused play with alternate rules, classes, feats, spells, and equipment. It revisits the civilized-versus-primal divide, introduces urban deities and social caste systems, and provides rules for verbal duels and other forms of social combat that can affect encounters. Three new base classes support different approaches: the Noble uses social abilities and organizational ties to control enemies and aid allies; the Legionary combines martial training, equipment-based tactics, and political influence; and the Showman uses illusion, enchantment, theatrical tricks, and magical deception. The supplement also includes more than 20 feats, seven spells, a magic item, and a services section covering arrangements such as marriages and assassinations.
