Star Fleet Marines: Module I – Assault

A tactical miniatures-style wargame that simulates infantry and light vehicle combat in a science-fiction setting. Players command squads (represented by counters of five Marines), specialized infantry types, and vehicles across a full-color hex map depicting varied alien terrain. Play uses a simple shoot-then-move turn structure: on a player’s turn each unit either fires or moves, with shooting resolved by cross-referencing attacker and target types, applying terrain modifiers, and rolling a die to determine destruction, stun, or no effect. Rules include opportunity fire and defensive snapshots so units can react during the opponent’s turn, plus mechanics for digging in, close assaults, shuttle/transport landings, artillery and transporter artillery, and air strikes.
