Stories from the Slough

A fantasy swamp-crawl adventure set in a festering, otherworldly bog. Players explore 19 mile-wide hexes, each taking about an hour to cross, while encountering a village, dangerous monsters, unusual characters, and competing factions including peaceful locals, blood-worshipping cultists, and followers of a plant god. The adventure includes two compact dungeons: a witch’s cabin that is larger inside than out, and a gaping wound leading into the rotting body of a behemoth beneath the swamp. Six central NPCs have individual stories, goals, and quests that shape the exploration. Suitable for low- to mid-tier characters in fantasy or magical post-apocalyptic roleplaying games.
