Players deploy a summoner figure, champions, commons and wall cards to arrange board positioning and execute schemes. Gameplay focuses on movement, ambushes and card-driven events that create sudden advantages or retreats. Players manage units with varied roles—assassins for precise strikes, bruisers for front-line control, and specialists for support—while using event cards to alter engagements or reposition forces.
