Target for Today

A solitaire simulation of American daylight strategic bombing over Nazi-occupied Europe in World War II. The player commands a single heavy bomber (options include B-17 and B-24 variants) and manages crew, damage, fuel, and mission decisions as individual sorties are flown against mapped targets. Missions link into a campaign representing a tour of duty; survive enough missions to complete the tour. Play uses aircraft-specific flight manuals, crew boards, mission charts, and encounter tables to resolve flak, weather, enemy fighters, and mechanical failures, emphasizing realism and period procedures while remaining playable.
