The Forgotten Temple of Tharizdun

A wilderness and dungeon adventure for characters of levels 5–10, set in the Greyhawk world and adaptable to other Advanced Dungeons & Dragons campaigns. The adventure begins when the characters follow norkers from the Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth and are drawn into a gnomish community’s search for the creatures’ lair. The party crosses hazardous mountain passes, battles through the ruined temple, and explores its chambers, facing mundane creatures, new monsters, and hidden treasures. Deeper sections contain remnants of rituals dedicated to the imprisoned god Tharizdun, exposing the characters to insanity and death. Progress requires reenacting parts of the ancient rites and opening the Black Cyst, a dark, freezing inner sanctum from which escape may be impossible.
