Kmotr: Impérium Corleonů

Players take the roles of rival mafia families competing for control of New York’s organized crime networks. Each round they place thugs, the don, the wife, and the heir on a map to shake down businesses, claim rackets, and contest neighborhoods through area-control and direct confrontation. Hands of cards represent money, rackets, contracts, and special advantages; players manage a limited hand size and must pay tribute to the don at the end of each round. Conflict includes drive-by actions that remove opposing tokens from the board. The game runs five rounds and scores the player with the most cash at the end.

Some people might not realize this, but this game is actually a Euro game disguised as an American game, and honestly I rather liked it. Very thematic and fun imo

No — players must continue taking actions in Family Business turns; you are only out when you have no figures left to place (no passing). (page 13)

What's the difference between placing a Thug and placing a Family Member to shake down a business?

A Thug is placed to shake down a Business front and gain that front’s ability, while a Family Member is placed to shake down adjacent Businesses’ backs and trigger those back-space ability effects. (pages 14–15)

When I complete a Job, do I need exact Illegal Goods and how do I get the payout?

You discard the required Illegal Goods to complete the Job (Narcotics count as wild), resolve the Job’s ability, and take the exact money shown as the payout. (page 16)

If two players tie for Influence in a Turf War, who gets control of the turf?

A tie means no one gains control — neutral ties prevent placing a control marker for that Turf. (page 19)

During Tribute to the Don, how many cards or Allies must I discard down to?

After returning Allies as instructed, you must discard down to the hand limits for the current Act: Act I = 5, Act II = 5, Act III = 6, Act IV = 2. (page 21)

What happens when a figure is gunned down?

A gunned-down figure is removed to the Hudson River and is out of play for the remainder of that Act. (page 17)
