The Graye Citadel (C&C)

A Castles & Crusades adventure for characters of levels 3–4. Nestor Graye offers a generous reward for recovering his family’s heirloom from a ruined ancestral citadel, but the previous expedition has disappeared and the fortress is occupied. Characters explore the surrounding woods, an occupied village, the ruined stronghold, and an ancient subterranean temple while navigating a siege between hobgoblins and desperate wemic defenders. Roaming creatures, dormant mechanisms, competing factions, and an otherworldly intelligence advance their own agendas as time passes. The adventure supports multiple routes, alliances, and solutions rather than a scripted storyline. Keyed locations, NPC motivations, event tables, adventure hooks, and gridded and gridless maps support play at the table.
