Players must seize and hold every Osgiliath location while facing tougher enemies and augmented treachery effects that scale with how many locations the players control. Gameplay emphasizes shifting momentum as locations change hands: enemy strength and treachery impact rise with progress, forcing careful planning and timing. The pack provides alternate encounter cards and setup instructions to replace the standard scenario components and increase difficulty.
