Each turn two terrain cards are revealed; after that each player may choose to draw one trail or skip drawing for that turn (see page 4).

The first sight you draw is circled to the left; the second sight you draw is circled to the right and also awards a bonus trail (see page 4).

Sights (including any chain reactions they trigger) are scored as they occur — resolve and score each completed sight in order (see page 5).

When you connect the two letters of a village pair listed in the Village Scoring Box, score that pair according to the box; use the blue bonus–card rules where applicable (see page 5).

After the final round you perform end-of-game scoring: complete the Final Scoring Box, then add points for connected villages, any bonuses, and apply the listed tiebreakers (see page 6).

Blue bonus stacks are set up at game start and used according to the blue bonus–card rules during scoring; the solo rules specify how to handle blue bonuses differently for solo play (see pages 3, 5 and 8).
