2022 · Space Exploration
1998 ISS
Players build and operate a modular space station launched into low Earth orbit in 1998, managing the cooperation and competition between American and Russian programs. Each round, players choose among four Earth actions—train astronauts, load materials, prepare modules (with greater contribution giving bonus actions), and plan experiments—to supply resources and personnel for on-orbit work. On the station, players move materials outside, perform experiments for most victory points, keep astronauts on long stays to score research points from microgravity effects, and install new modules that add capabilities and points. The game ends when five American or five Russian rockets launch; highest victory points wins.
