1911 Amundsen vs Scott
A two-player asymmetric race that recreates the 1911 expedition to the South Pole, with one side following Amundsen’s route and the other Scott’s. Players use a personal deck and a shared row of three visible cards to collect and play actions represented by colored dots along distinct paths to the pole. On a turn, a player may take face-up cards (one for free or multiple by discarding), play cards to advance along the route, disrupt the opponent’s progress, or trigger special effects. The first player to reach the South Pole wins; if the draw deck is exhausted twice, both players lose. Includes optional modules that add patrons with unique effects, a return-journey scenario, weather effects with a die, and supply-depot tokens for the later edition.
