Above and Below: Haunted

Players settle a remote lakeside region of porous bedrock, building a village on stilts, recruiting villagers, and constructing buildings while managing reputation. Exploration takes place in two kinds of caves below the water: safer caverns and dangerous sinkholes that require more lanterns but yield larger rewards and special pearl tokens. Adventures are resolved with unique story cards, and discoveries provide goods, coins, and occasional rusty treasures. Buildings can become haunted by wooden ghost tokens that lower reputation; players can banish ghosts onto others' buildings for rewards. Boats and new building types offer additional strategic options.
