Batam
Players captain scrappy ships racing across an archipelago to visit four distant islands while accumulating the most wealth rather than finishing first. Each round players hire crew by paying bribes, roll sailor dice, and assign those sailors to other players’ ships rather than their own, creating opportunities to bump or sabotage rivals’ plans. Markers are dropped on islands to claim rewards, and owners can charge fees to late arrivals who step on claimed turf. Manage payments, cope with unreliable (seasick) crew, plan movement, and time the return to port; the player with the most riches at the end wins.
