Battleship

Players secretly place a fleet of ships of varying lengths on a hidden square grid. On each turn a player announces grid coordinates to fire at the opponent; the opponent declares whether the shot is a hit or a miss and marks it on a visible tracking grid. Players use the pattern of hits and misses to deduce ship positions and attempt to sink all enemy vessels. Optional salvo rules let players call multiple shots per turn based on how many ships they still have in play.
