Brethren of the Coast

Players set out from Port Royal to raid Spanish galleons and settlements. Each turn, they sail a ship to confront one target, then play a card to increase the treasure or defenses of a different target. Ships build fleets, while cards hide information and determine the loot and Spanish resistance revealed when each location is reckoned. Players compete for doubloons and treasure chests, spending doubloons to play cards face down and conceal their intentions. At the end of the game, the players with the most and second-most treasure chests share the doubloons spent on hidden cards; other chests are worthless. The player with the most doubloons wins.
