2015 · Abstract Strategy
Callisto
A compact, shorter variant of the original strategy-puzzle game in a smaller box with cardboard tiles. Players take turns placing polyomino-like tiles onto a shared square frame board, aiming to be the first to play all of their tiles. Tile shapes and column scoring create spatial constraints and tactical opportunities; the board scales by player count through interchangeable frames rather than an octagonal surface, and there are no restricted dark areas for initial placement. The game focuses on spatial planning, blocking opponents, and finding placement sequences under a reduced tile set and altered distribution.
