Candy Land

Players race along a brightly colored path toward the final Candy Castle, moving plastic character tokens from start to finish. Each turn, a player draws a card and advances to the next space that matches the card’s color; some cards send players directly to named board locations and can move them forward or backward. Certain spaces impose penalties such as skipping a turn when landing on licorice. Play continues until a token reaches or moves beyond the final square, at which point that player wins. The game emphasizes simple turn-taking, color recognition, and following basic rules for young players.

I mean if my 3 year old wants to play, I'll take one for the team.

  • Peaberry1.6

More than monopoly, playing this game as a kid solidified my distaste for random outcomes. I think I only cheated to get out of playing the whole game.

  • Ben Bishop3.0

A good classic game for the little kids that will teach them colors, taking turns, and the basic game playing skills needed for more advanced games in the future.
