Players command French, Polish, Canadian, Indian, British, American, and German formations during the assault toward Rome. The game covers infiltration through the Aurunci Mountains, close combat around Cassino and Monte Cassino, and the advance of Canadian and British armored forces through the Liri Valley. Units range from brigades and regiments to Kampfgruppen and battalions, with turns representing a night or half-day and each hex covering 1.2 kilometers. The game includes scenarios, bilingual English/French rules and charts, a map, counters, and player-aid cards.
