Advanced Squad Leader: Starter Kit #3

The final module in a three-part introductory series for Advanced Squad Leader expands play to include tanks and other fighting vehicles alongside infantry and ordnance. The box contains geomorphic maps (three 8x22 boards), full and partial countersheets with half- and 5/8" counters, eight scenarios (S20–S27), two quick-reference charts, a rules booklet with plentiful illustrations, a vehicle and ordnance notes booklet, and dice. Players learn streamlined ASL rules presented conversationally, with new rules highlighted for those coming from earlier starter kits. Play is hex-and-counter tactical WWII combat at 40 meters per hex, two players (also suitable for solitaire or team play), with turns representing about two minutes each.
