Dead Man's Doubloons

Players command rival pirate ships and captains racing to recover buried treasure on a reef-ringed island. Crews skirmish at sea to collect treasure map fragments, doubloons, jewels and to plunder or damage opposing vessels. Landing parties follow branching paths ashore, facing hazards and uncovering additional loot as they try to locate and dig up the legendary hoard. After retrieving treasure, captains return to their ships for a final naval battle where sunk vessels become ghost ships with cursed treasure but may still influence the outcome. The game ends when combat and exploration options are exhausted; the player with the most wealth wins.
