Famous Divisions: Guards Armoured Division

A tactical-operational simulation of four battles fought by the British Guards Armoured Division in 1944 and 1945: Operation Goodwood, Operation Veritable, Bonninghardt Ridge, and Joe’s Bridge. Players command company-sized units across maps where each hex represents about 550 meters and each turn covers six hours. Headquarters activate in a randomized sequence drawn from a cup, directing movement and combat. Combat uses attack and defense values modified by Event Chits, with more than 140 possible effects including ambushes, critical hits, radio failures, artillery support, and friendly fire. Rules cover vehicle types, direct fire, barrages, opportunity fire, fortifications, engineers, bridges, supply, airpower, and night operations.
