Guillotine

1998 · Card Game

Guillotine

Players act as executioners during the French Revolution, taking turns beheading nobles queued in a public line. Each round, a player either takes the noble at the front of the line or plays action cards that reorder, swap, or otherwise manipulate the queue to change which nobles are available. The game runs over three rounds representing days; nobles have point values based on popularity, and players score by collecting the most valuable heads. Hand management and timing of line-manipulation cards determine who harvests high-value targets.
