Choose one of two ready-to-play characters—a ranged Alchemist or a melee Barbarian—and use that character’s Character Pack and Adventure deck to run a one- or two-player campaign. Play unfolds through a 12-encounter campaign delivered in sealed envelopes; opening an envelope presents story text, setup instructions and special encounter rules. Gameplay mixes deckbuilding with RPG-style scenarios as players fight monsters, gain loot and upgrade their decks. An included 80-card market deck supplies new faction cards that can be used standalone or combined with the base game or other expansions.
