A fast-playing deckbuilding game of interstellar combat. Players start with small personal decks and use trade to acquire new ships and bases, then play those cards to generate additional trade, draw, and combat. Combat targets opponents and their bases; players defend their authority score while attempting to reduce rivals to zero. The box contains the core and Gambits card sets, two extra starting decks for up to four players, a play mat, and storage for cards. Solo and cooperative challenge cards add alternate play options. Gameplay emphasizes deck construction, tactical card play, and player-versus-player interaction.
