Players assemble a knight tableau of five face-down body-part cards (head, lance, shield, body, shoes) plus a horse card, each part carrying a strength value and the horse granting a special ability for scoring. On a turn a player draws from the deck or takes the discard, then either swaps the drawn card with a same-type card in front of them or discards it to trigger its action, which can reveal cards, flip cards face up, or swap cards with other players. When a player calls a tournament, everyone gets a final turn, then horse abilities resolve and players total their knight’s strength to compare scores. The top player scores trophies based on the margin to the runner-up; all cards are reshuffled and a new round begins. Play continues until a player reaches the required trophy total.
